Addition Information : Acrylamide monomers are polymerized into a network of polyacrylamide chains. Bisacrylamide, a crosslinking agent, introduces bonds between these chains, creating the gel matrix. The percentage of acrylamide in the gel solution determines the size of the pores in the gel. Lower acrylamide concentrations create larger pores, allowing larger proteins to migrate through more freely, while higher concentrations result in smaller pores that restrict the movement of larger proteins.
