ADBEEL FA-04 is a liquid foaming agent for use in all types of mortar and concrete mixes. It is particularly designed for use in the production of foamed concrete and for use with synthetic and naturally occurring light-weight aggregates where the density of the fine aggregate/cement paste is normally required to be similar to that of the aggregate. ADBEEL FA-04 is formulated from carefully selected raw materials and is manufactured under controlled conditions to give consistent product. It is a blend of anionic surfactants. ADVANTAGES ADBEEL FA-04 will entrain air into all types of concrete even those with highly angular crushed aggregates. It can be used with all types of light weight aggregates to produce very low density concrete mixes. ADBEEL FA-04 can be employed to entrain air in mixes containing high proportions of pulverised fuel ash. It produces microscopic airbubbles evenly distributed throughout the concrete.Standards :Conforms to IS : 9103-1979 and ASTM C 260Uses :It is most suitable for concrete for Concrete Runways and Bridges, Canal linings, Dam reservoir, Tunnel linings etc.Features :* Increased durability : Resistant to attack by frost and deicing salts, thermalmovent. Crack free concrete.* Increased cohesion : Increased pumpability with lean mixes. The concrete intransit will show no segregration.* High workability : Around 5 to 9% water reduction is possible. The quantity of air entrained will varywith respect to the proportion of sand and the plasticity of the concrete mix. A site trial is alwaysadvisable for the entrained air content with an air meter and accordingly dosage is adjusted to keep the air content within required limit. Approved mix design of concrete with air entraining agent should be followed.Dosage :The dosage of DURASPRED AEA will vary according to mix design and aggregate grading. But as aguide line, dosage = 15-60 ml per 50 kg cement. This additioin rate will have to be increased, if more fine material like more cement or Fly Ash is used in the concrete.
