Description: QUIKSTEEL- FSL epoxy putty is the full strength steel reinforced epoxy putty that fully cures in one hour. * Operating Temperature- 500F (260OC) continuous * Sets up in 5 minutes. * Fully cures in 1 hour. * Machine, drill, tap, turn on lathe, sand and paint in one hour. * Bonds to all materials except rubber. * Impervious to acids, alkaline, sol vents, oils, fuels, fluids, cleaners. * Sets up underwater or submerged in liquids.1. STRONG: SHEAR STRENGTH- QUIKSTEEL- FSL Epoxy putty has shear strength of 680 pounds per square inch for comparison; pine lumber has shear strength of 400 pounds per square inch. Quiksteel- FSL epoxy putty is more ''than one and one-half times as strong as pine. TENSILE STRENGTH - QUIKSTEEL- FSL Epoxy putty has a tensile strength of 5,700 pounds per square inch. This would mean that a piece at Quiksteel one-inch in diameter could lift the weight of two compact automobiles. HARD: QUIKSTEEL- FSL Epoxy putty is one of the hardest materials next to steel. Technically, it is rated at D-84. "D" is the highest hardness rating in the shore rating system. Quiksteel- FSL epoxy putty can be compared to ABS plastic (material used to manufacture automobiles) or the fiber epoxy wings on the B2 bomber. When cured, QUIKSTEEL- FSL epoxy putty can be machined, milled, or turned on a lathe. It can also be drilled, tapped, sanded, sawed, routed, primed and painted. Anything you can do to metal or wood - you can do to QUIKSTEEL- FSL epoxy putty. SEALS LEAKS UNDER WATER OR IN FLUIDS: QUIKSTEEL- FSL epoxy putty cures under water and in all atmospheric conditions. Leaks can be sealed inside a container, tank, etc with liquids still in the item to be sealed. SEALS LEAKS WHILE LEAK IS OCCURRING: if a gasoline or diesel-tank, oil pan, or any container has a rupture, Quiksteel will seal the leak while the drainage is occurring. No need to empty container prior to repair.IMPERVIOUS TO CHEMICALS: QUIKSTEEL- FSL epoxy putty is impervious to most chemicals including battery acids.
