Western dance

Contemporary dance is a genre of concert dance that employs compositional philosophy, rather than choreography, to guide unchoreographed movement. It uses dance techniques and methods found in ballet, modern dance and postmodern dance, and it also draws from other philosophies of movement that are outside the realm of classical dance technique. The term "contemporary dance" is sometimes used to describe dance that is not classical, Broadway style jazz or folk dance.

Indian Contemporary Dance Training

Our team regularly receives training in ballet, modern jazz, street jazz, hip hop and in salsa by various international choreographers whom we invite throughout the year.Our recent master teachers have included Gills Chuyen (from France), Christy Blyther (from USA), Katja Winzeler (from Europe), Nikki Constandis (from Belgium), Ronnie G (from Hong Kong Dance Academy), and also several senior dancers from India.Katja, from Denmark, is a specialist in dance aerobics, lindy hop and musical theatre jazz. We were fortunate to get extensive training in the above forms from her. Our western dance classes and performances are an exciting mix of all the above styles, though we do have specialized salsa classes too.

Advanced Batch : Hip-hop, Lyrical Hip-Hop, Locking, Popping, Crumping, B-Boying, Bollywood dance, Latin Dance including Salsa, Cha Cha, Cha, waltz, Rumba, Contemporary and Basics of Jazz. 1 year Certificate Course.Basic Batch: Basics of Hip-hop, Bollywood / Free-style. 6 months certificate course.Ladies Batch: An exciting mix of basic dance steps, including Bollywood and freestyle along with fitness related movements for homemakers and working women executives who want body fitness, agility and muscle toning to beat the body rust.Special workshop: We always believe in bringing about innovations and adding spice to our existing curriculum and hence design special workshops on various dance styles periodically for our students and their references. Such workshops are generally arranged free of cost by the school and outsiders are more than welcome to attend it and share their experiences.Teachers / Instructorship Traning: We are always growing as a company and hence would love to include teachers with potential and skills to join hands with us! The instructorship course will offer a three months intensive training on methods and techniques of classroom teaching and skill development and at the end of it we will recruit you as a part of us.

Contemporary dance is the exploration of the total movement potential of the body. Faculty : Nabamita Banerjee Nabamita Banerjee , has certified from OFFJAZZ dance academy in France for Contemporary Academic Dance Movement in Art. She has been learning under the guidance of Guru Sri Rommie Sombik Ghosh.

Weekly Jazz Contemporary classes for all age groups.Annual shows and Workshops are held.Courses offer Certification from Government recognised Center.
