Uses Sofovir (Sofosbuvir) is indicated in combination with under medicinal products for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C in genotype 1, 2, 3 and 4. It is suitable to treat patients awaiting liver transplantation and those with HCV/HIV-1 co-infection.Sofosbuvir directly targets the Hepatitus C virus to stop it from making copies of itself in the liver and makes it harder for the virus to multiply. Dosage and Administration The recommended dose of Sofovir is one 400mg tablet, taken orally, once daily with or without food. Sofosbuvir should be used in combination with ribavirin or in combination with pegylated and ribavirin for the treatment of chronic hepatitus C (CHC) in adults.
