Cytromox- Co-Trimoxazole oral suspension
It is used to treat Susceptible infections, Urinary tract infections, Gastrointestinal infections, Respiratory tract infections, Pneumocystis, Prophylaxis of susceptible infections in AIDS patients.
Adverse drug reactions caused by consuming co-trimoxazole can include Renal failure, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, anorexia, skin rashes, urticarial.
Potentially fatal reactions may include Stevens Johnson syndrome, agranulocytosis, toxic epidermal necrolysis, hepatic necrosis.
co-trimoxazole should not be used by lactating women, with patients with B12 and folic acid deficiency, should not be given with anticonvulsant medicine.
